Set on the outskirts of Devizes in Wiltshire, the centre has two halls open for hire to groups, businesses, individuals and clubs. The larger hall will accommodate around 60 persons seated and the smaller hall approximately 20.
The Community Centre has ample free parking and the building is wheelchair friendly throughout. It provides accessible and comfortable facilities where, for a minimum charge, local support groups can meet for social, leisure and training purposes.
The centre is ideal for childrens' and adult parties, weddings and all events, and is available for everyone to use at very low cost.
Regular bookings to hire the hall and its facilities for groups and clubs are welcomed and associations hiring the hall(s) at pre-set and regular intervals may be provided with storage areas for their equipment used in the hall for their gatherings, subject to availability.
The hall is available for regular use on Fridays every week. Contact the centre if your club or organisation is interested in making use of our facilities.
Devizes Community Centre Facilities
The Halls have a wheelchair friendly access entrance lobby leading to toilet facilities and cloak and coat storage.
The main hall is a light and spacious area with a kitchen and servery at one end. The room lends itself to a flexible layout where tables, chairs and the well-equipped kitchen, containing everything to cook meals or prepare buffets, is available
The smaller hall is light, airy and ideal as a meeting room where small groups can congregate around a conference table. As with the main hall, there is a television and DVD player, a music centre with a loop system for those hard of hearing.
A radio mike system is also available by prior arrangement. WIFI is (of course) also available. The small hall is provided with tea and coffee making facilities as separate from the main hall for those times when the larger hall is being used by another group.
Kitchen & Servery
The kitchen is accessed from the larger hall and is a fully equipped kitchen with cupboards, tea urn, kettle, sink, fridge, cooker, oven, hob and dishwasher.
There is a reasonable amount of crockery and cutlery provided. It will cater for a number of people, but we recommend that anyone wishing to provide food at their function should check the available numbers of crockery and cutlery at time of booking.
